Toronto State of Mind
So everyone has heard Jay-Z's new big hit, Empire State of Mind featuring Alicia Keys. Well it was only a matter of time before a remix came out, and guess what, it's good! The song is called "Toronto" by Ron D and Kim Davis. The song has the same beat as Empire State, but the lyrics are all about T.Dot. I like the track, take a listen to it...

Drizzy Drake Birthday T.Dot Style

Aubrey "Drake" Graham
Wondered how some celebrities celebrate their birthdays without you (the fan) knowing. Well firstly it's called PRIVATE party haha, and secondly it's very exclusive invite. Rapper Drizzy Drake recently celebrated his 23rd birthday in Toronto on the weekend. Didn't get an invite, too bad! Neither did I! But 1 LOVE T.O. did attend the party and posted some photos from it. Some photos are posted below, check out 1 love T.O.'s website here for more photos. They have a cool blog check them out.
Party Pics
Pictures are all from 1LOVE T.O.
Kid Cudi & Drake

Peak at the venue (It was held at a loft)

I think this is what Kanye meant when he said "Welcome to the Goodlife..." haha.

Halloween Party Plans?
What is everyone doing this saturday for Halloween. It a few-ish days away. Halloween hasn't been on a saturday night in so long, it's about time. I remember when I was younger it was always during the week and school was the next day, it sucked. But now its time to ditch the candy, and trade it for alcohol and slutty costumes, for girls at least. Don't deny it haha. I am going to be going to This is London Nightclub. If your still not sure of where your going, check out this site here for all your halloween party plans and get some ideas of where to go in the city.

So You Think You Can Dance Canada
So last week I had received tickets to watch a live taping of a top 10 group performance for so you think you can dance canada finale. The dance was a contemporary piece choreographed by Mia Michaels. The dance was very good, I really liked it. As Mia says in the video clip, it is her last dance she is doing for So You Think You Can Dance. In case you missed the finale, here is the dance, check it out and let me know what you think...

Where the Wild Things Are Review
I have been anxiously waiting to watch this film, and finally I caved in because nobody else wanted to see it, so I watched it online. I gotta say beyond the crappy video quality from watching the movie online, I absolutely loved the movie. It was everything I had hoped for and provided with quite the emotional ending, in which i may or may not have shed some tears watching. Besides that Max was a reminder of the child we all once were, a wild child, innocent and wants nothing more than to be king of his own fort. This movie has two interpretations, sure you can look at it as a young boy, confused who runs away from home and explores his imagination. Beyond the pages of there are so many themes, which are dark, and happy. I don't want to give away so much about the movie, other than I you need to see it and analyze it for yourself, find where the wild things are in yourself, and remind yourself of the innocent world you once knew as a child.RAWRRRRRRRRRRRRR! i miss my childhood :(

Throwback to the 90's
Who remembers this?
Seriously I watched this all the time when I was younger, it was called Electric Circus, it was on MuchMusic. In simple terms it was a dance show, people danced to dance music, kind of like a club atmosphere but on TV.
Check out the show's promo and intro

And you wonder why you're still single
It's pretty much a known fact for most guys that you gotta work to get a girl's number. And it's for obvious reason since they don't want to give it out to just anyone. Here is a perfect example of why girls stay single and don't like giving out their numbers.
CLICK HERE, The following is a link to a blog with a sound clip of a voicemail left by a guy, that a girl gave his number to.
READ BELOW BEFORE LISTENING
The story is this: a girl was out with friends having drinks on King St (in Toronto ). This guy approaches her and won't leave her alone -saying how cute she is. She finally gives in and hands the guy her business card to get rid of him.
The attached is an MP3 file of not one, but TWO voicemails this guy left. This goes down in the history books - especially the second voice mail.
After hearing them you can clearly see why she didn't call him back - instead she called in to the Z103.5 morning show & had them play this on the air.
So you think you have style and originality? Huh...
Most people think they have a good sense of style and the way they dress and such. Sorry to inform you but if your shopping at brand name stores you'd find in your average mall, sorry but you're not. I'm not referring to myself as some sort of style expert or anything, but after looking at this website, it makes you think, "wow i have no style compared to this". The website I'm referring to is LOOKBOOK , its a website, in a blog like format and people from around the world, or most of the world can upload pics of themselves showing off their outfit and style. Whether or not your in to fashion, its cool to check out. Myself, I'm not into fashion at all really, but i do think that the outfits people come up with are pretty nice, and they should be credited. Although I must admit some of these styles are very "out-there" and different haha. Check out the site and see for yourself and maybe you'll get some ideas and get creative.

Childhood Memories
Don't you just love it when someone comes along and creates a movie to get you to connect back to your childhood, and everything that comes along with it such as the innocence you have to world. This movie Where The Wild Things Are is based off of a children's book from when I was young. The movie looks so good and can't wait to watch. Check out the trailer for it...

I got a university feeling haha!
You have to watch this video made by university students in Montreal, Canada. They made their own music video to the song I got a feeling by the Black Eyed Peas. The cool part about the video, other than the fact that its hilarious is that the filmed the video in one continuous shot, no cuts, the camera kept rolling the whole time. This must have taken so much planning to do. Good job, I wish Ryerson made a video like this too, hmm lets see what we can do about that, national university challenge? ahaha
Enjoy the video...

Halloween
So it's that time of year again ahah, Halloween of course! And not too sure about my costume for this year, doing a group costume with friends and its going to be one of those costumes that i don't see it now, but when it's finished it will be kick ass. By the way I'm not telling you guys the costume just yet, ill make it a surprise, wooo! lol.
Me and my friends went as the ninja turtles, its so kick ass, you don't even know hahaha! The coolest part is that we made the costume our own and put our own interpretation into it. We had so much fun doing it, and i should add we won an award for best costume!

Love this place

Ryerson University
In the heart of Toronto
I love downtown Toronto, the sights, sounds, people, and the crazy people too! Haha! I love it how there are just so many people from all different backgrounds, places, cultures, religions, and so on. And all these people come together in the city, it's not like a suburb where everyone comes from the same place. I love it and and I love the city and its diversity. I also love my school, Ryerson, Go Rams Go! haha! Ryerson is like a micro version of the city. Big buildings, sounds, people and events, how can you go wrong. The purpose of this post was to share my love for the city. I can't wait until I can move downtown and get my ass out of suburbia

Creepy? or Cool? You decide

Google Street View
So google street view is now available in Canada, and i must say as much as its cool, it is so creepy at the same time. Literally it is as if you are on the street walking or something. You can also zoom right to peoples streets and such, its really cool, but it should be questionable to use of this kind of technology. Check it out and play around with it, go to www.maps.google.com, when you've found where you'd like a street view of, above the zoom there is a yellow man click and drag it to the street you want to see.

Welcome to The World According To Me

Ps. This is me, in case you're wondering who this stunning gentleman is
Hello my peeps, do people even say that anymore? What is up? So, without further adue, however you spell that, WELCOME!!!
This is the blog, literally about the world and everything in it 'according to me'. I'm someone with a lot to say, and it's about time it gets heard out loud, but, not really out loud, since I'm not screaming this at you. Anyways, i'll be blogging about whatever come to my head, and most of the time you'll get a laugh out of it.
Want to more a little more about me? No, Well too bad
My name is Robert, but, I go by Rob, i like it that way. I live in the GTA, more specifically, Pickering, it's beside Scarborough lol. I go to school (Ryerson) and work downtown, so i'd hopefully like to move to downtown Toronto very soon. I'm very friendly, and very opinionated and blunt/honest about certain things or situations. All in all I'm nice, or so i seem to think so haha. Sorry if i sound like a cocky asshole right now.
Anyways Enjoy!
-Rob
